Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

Jisei is built with your privacy as a core principle. We believe your personal data should stay personal — and on your device.

What We Don't Collect

Jisei does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Specifically:

Camera Access

Jisei requests camera access solely for the Mirror Confrontation feature. When you attempt to disable your protection settings, the app activates your front-facing camera to create a psychological barrier — a moment of self-awareness before you proceed.

Camera data is displayed in real-time only. No photos or videos are captured, recorded, stored, or transmitted. The camera feed exists only in the moment and is never saved anywhere.

Screen Time & App Usage Data

Jisei uses Apple's Screen Time API and Family Controls framework to provide app and website blocking functionality. This data is managed entirely by Apple's system frameworks and remains on your device. Jisei does not access, read, or store any information about which specific apps or websites you use.

Data Storage

All app settings, commitment periods, streak data, and preferences are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage. This data is not synced, backed up to our servers, or accessible to anyone other than you.

If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

Third-Party Services

Jisei does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. We do not share data with anyone because we do not have any of your data to share.

Children's Privacy

Jisei is designed for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Jisei after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
